We can always count on the Grammys to put on a spectacular show filled with performances and appearances from our most favorite artists, but were producers this year trying to get intouch with the our emotions more than anything? From emotional performances to addressing domestic violence, each act left us with chills that even host, LL Cool J's charisma couldn't kill those vibes.
If you missed the show, check out these Grammy 2015 highlights:
Sam Runs the Show
Following AC/DC's opening performance, was the Best New Artist award given to the well-deserved Sam Smith. It was a big night for Smith as he took home Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. Up agaisnt many talents such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Switft, Andrew Hozier-Byrne, Megan Trainor and more I don't think anyone is in disagreement with last night's top winner.
Love is in the Air
With a soulful performance by Ed Sheeran of Thinking Out Loud, a dynamic duo with Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani singing My Heart is Open, Ariana Grande's Just a Little Bit of Your Heart and of course Madonna's Living for Love, these artists won't let us forget that Valentine's day is quickly approaching.
President Obama, through video message, addressed the issue of violence against women in our country. He encouraged artists who have the power to change culture and attitudes through music, to begin a movement with their fans towards a culture intolerant of violence. His message transitioned to domestic violence survivor, Brooke Axtell who shared her story of survival. Katy Perry followed with a performance, singing By the Grace of God. Cheek to Cheek
Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga were a little piece of "heaven" on stage with Cheek to Cheek. These two talents are nothing short of a joyous, breathtaking musical experience. We love this colaboration, always and forever.
Hot on the radio charts right now is Rihanna's FourFiveSeconds featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney so, we're happy this casually dressed trio made their way to the stage.
Kristen Wig Like We've Never Seen her Before
If it hard for anyone else to take Kristen Wig seriously, even when dancing to Sia's Chandelier, who's lyrics are the farthest thing from humor? Bridesmaids aside, she's a woman of many talents and marvelous dance moves.
